Mariposa (‘butterfly ginger’/ hedychium coronrium) is the national flower of Cuba. It’s strong symbolism and physical characteristics suggests an unfolding of a bright future in America for Cubans and other hispanics alike.
‘Mariposa Art Park’ is a public park for the people in the neighborhood of Little Havana in Miami, FL, to come together to celebrate, unwind and reinvent themselves.
Art is the central theme that folds cultures together, unites us, and
releases our inner Mariposa.
